Saimon Group
was incorporated in 1981 and the company obtained the registration from
Bangladesh Civil Aviation authority to operate as a Travel Agency at
165, D.I. T Ext. Road, Dhaka-1000. The company obtained the
IATA
approval in 1987. With the focus changing to Corporate business, the
location of the head office was moved to the company’s own building in
Gulshan at Saimon Center, House 4A, Road 22, Gulshan 1, Dhaka. This made
it easier for us to be in close proximity of our corporate clients.
Since its inception,
Saimon Group
has been awarded as one of the top travel agents by all major airlines
operating in Bangladesh. As a result, Saimon Group enjoys excellent
relationship with all on-line carriers as well as off-line carriers in
Bangladesh.
Due to its outstanding performance,
Saimon Group
was the first Travel agency in Bangladesh to receive CRS (computer
reservation system) terminal on GETS (Gabriel Extended Travel System)
from Biman Bangladesh Airlines hosted in SITA in 1993. It was in fact
the first CRS connection given to any agency by any airline in
Bangladesh. This was a remarkable achievement.
Saimon Group was
again the first travel agent to receive domestic ticket stock from the
national carrier BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines in 1993.
We can issue
tickets on all the airlines operating out of Bangladesh and have
arrangements for issuing tickets on all major airlines not operating out
of Bangladesh.
The long duration of this experience, has given
Saimon the opportunity to excel in the Travel business by providing the
service to the major corporate clients, achieving GSAs (General Sales
Agent), PSA (Passenger Sales Agent), Visa Facilitation Services and also
a member of LCC, Lufthansa City Center.
